Jim McKeever is President of McKeever Consulting Services LLC, an engineering consulting and services company. McKeever has nearly 30 years of experience in heating, ventilation & air conditioning (HVAC) and building automation/controls. He is known industry-wide for his expertise in factory-commissioned controls, including project management, sequence of control, software design & development, open communication protocols, and problem solving.
Prior to forming McKeever Consulting, McKeever was Director of Control Systems at Unison Comfort Technologies for over 8 years. At Unison, he led all unit controls design, implementation and support for both the Innovent and Valent brands of commercial air handling units (AHUs). He was instrumental in the formation and growth of Valent, a leading manufacturer of configure-to-order AHUs. Unison manufactures both custom and value-added packaged AHUs for commercial applications.
Before his tenure at Unison, McKeever spent over 13 years at Trane, where he led the factory-integrated controls development efforts. While at Trane, McKeever also managed the entire portfolio of air handling unit controls, including the definition of product requirements for the next-generation controllers. Trane is a global leader of commercial and residential HVAC products and solutions.
